Roles for ICT Teachers – Northampton

Tick Education have 2 long term roles for ICT teachers in 2 different schools in Northampton, these are to start as soon as possible.

Summary of responsibilities

● Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated ICT curriculum for students

● To be responsible for the teaching of ICT Computer Science for KS3/4, including tracking and assessing students’ work

● To teach pupils according to their educational

● To prepare Programmes of Study and Schemes of Work.

● Facilitate a learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential

● Contribute to raising standards of student attainment

● Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge students

● Support to develop and refine the ICT curriculum to ensure that the curriculum area provides a range of teaching which complements the school’s strategic objectives, is relevant to the needs of students and examining and awarding bodies Essential

● Degree in ICT / Computer Science

● Teaching Degree, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
