SEN Teaching Assistant in Luton

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Luton. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development. This role requires a good understanding and experience working in SEN environments, as well as the ability to engage and build rapport with students.

– Good understanding and experience working in SEN environments, supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
– Minimum of 3 months of experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
– A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with and build rapport with students.
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of individual students.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
– Supporting students with their learning and development, both individually and in small groups.
– Assisting the teacher in planning and implementing appropriate strategies and interventions for students with SEN.
– Providing support in classroom activities, including helping with instructional materials and resources.
– Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting to the teacher or SEN coordinator.
– Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
– Collaborating with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals to support student progress.

Working Hours:
The working hours for this position are from 08:30 to 15:30, aligning with the school schedule.
