Tick Education is seeking highly skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work in a variety of primary schools located in Northamptonshire, providing daily cover and filling short-term roles. The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) positions with Tick Education are available for 1 to 5 days a week, allowing for flexible scheduling and work-life balance. Working hours will align with the regular school day, typically between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

·         Lead full classes of pupils from reception to year 6.

·         Collaborate with the teaching staff to plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.

·         Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

·         Promote the development of key skills, such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills, through targeted interventions and activities.

·         Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are well-organized and accessible.

·         Contribute to the overall pastoral care and well-being of students, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

·         Adhere to school policies and procedures, maintaining professional conduct and always safeguarding the welfare of students.

Requirements:

·         Hold a recognized HLTA qualification or equivalent certification.

·         Have previous experience working with primary school students, preferably in a classroom setting.

·         Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

·         Demonstrate a strong understanding of primary education principles, curriculum, and teaching methodologies.

·         Display patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with diverse student populations.

·         Exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills, effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Uphold high professional standards and adhere to ethical guidelines in the education field.
