What’s the point? This is just a waste of time.
Sound familiar?
If it does then you probably look at life through a negative lens or don’t have the motivation to want to change. You’re probably quite a sceptical person who is wary of people who have a different view of the world.
Therefore what I’m about to say will probably sound useless to you. That’s fine, but I’m going to say it anyway.
Be positive. Two small words that will change your life!
I know its easier said than done and believe me, I’ve had times where if someone told me to be positive i’d probably have wanted to slosh em round the face with a banana cream pie, but at the end of the day, it’s the right advice.
How many times have you talked yourself out of doing something before you’ve even given it a chance?
How many times have you cancelled on events because you couldn’t be bothered to go?
If you don’t experience things and give them a go, then you will never know if you’re missing out on your dreams. There have been occasions where I really didn’t want to engage in certain things, but when I did, they turned out to be some of the most incredible moments of my life. Don’t look at the negatives or hold yourself back from doing something because of hypothetical scenarios you’ve invented in your brain. Instead, dive right in and experience a world full of interesting opportunities and exciting possibilities.
The next time you are given constructive feedback, don’t look at yourself as a failure. There is no such thing as failure! Only opportunities to learn from mistakes so that you can adapt and grow.
A lot of people think that if they don’t do anything, then they can’t lose. What they don’t realise is that they’re actually losing out on life. Unless you believe in reincarnation, we only have one life, so live it and make the most out of every moment.
Negativity doesn’t bring anything useful to a situation, it just adds extra obstacles. By having a positive and optimistic view when talking to friends, family and peers, will allow you to successfully navigate through each conversation with a positive solution.
People feed off of the power of positivity and will often mirror your energy and enthusiasm. It will be easier for you to motivate others and encourage them to see things how you see them and share your philosophy and determination to achieve your ideal ambitions or goals.
So whether its at work, at home or any place in between, try to see that glass half full and experience the power of positivity.
