How Do We Support our Candidates?
Here at Tick Education, we support our candidates so that they have the happiest experience while they work with us.
It all starts with a phone call. One of our dedicated consultants will be more than happy to have a chat and explain exactly what we can offer you and answer any questions you might have. We will never pressure anyone to work for us, so rest assured that our intentions are to help you in any way we can and to make sure you are completely satisfied that we are the best agency for you.
If you feel that we are the right fit for you, one of our consultants will book you in for a registration meeting. Don’t worry if you get nervous even thinking about interviews. This is an informal and relaxed chat and is purely just to get to know you better. This can be either face to face or via video chat, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Either way, we will do whichever you feel more comfortable with. The reason why we have a registration meeting with our candidates, is so that we can understand what their preferences and needs are. We will explain how our company works and find out what our candidates availability is and the type of work they are looking for. We can help with day to day cover, long term placements and permanent jobs. So whether you’re only looking for two days a week or a full time role, we can connect you with a large number of schools around Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
After the registration meeting, our friendly compliance team will be in contact and will be doing all they can to get your file completed as quickly as they can. They will chase for references and make sure we have everything we need to make sure you are fully vetted and safe to work with children. The process is nice and easy and we will continue to answer any questions our candidates might have while they are waiting to go online.
Once your file has passed compliance, you will then be contacted by your consultant. They will welcome you online and ask for your availability for the rest of the week so that they can look for work and contact you when you’re free. Our consultants will contact our candidates each week so that they know what their availability is for the next week. This is so we don’t bother them when they’re busy and so we can deliver a great service to both our candidates and schools.
We support our candidates by offering free training courses, so that they can develop and improve their skills. Our company trainer offers a range of courses, including a Cover Supervisor course, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding and E Safety among others. If any of our candidates ever feel that they would benefit from enrolling on one of our courses or taking part in a refresher, we will always welcome them to do that.
We like to keep all of our candidates up to date with any changes that might happen within the education sector. We send safeguarding refresher training each year and will send a yearly update with any changes to Keeping Children Safe In Education. Whether you work with us for one day or five years, we want you to feel comfortable, confident and have the best experience working with us.
