We are currently seeking experienced Form Tutors in Luton who possess excellent skills in behaviour management. As a Form Tutor in Luton, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding the overall development of students under your care. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting positive behaviour, and addressing any behavioural issues that may arise.

Responsibilities in Jobs for Form Tutors in Luton

– Serve as a mentor and advocate for a designated form group, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
– Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and encouraging their personal and academic growth.
– Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a respectful and conducive learning atmosphere within the classroom and form group.
– Monitor student behaviour, promptly address any disruptive or challenging behaviours, and establish clear expectations and consequences.
– Promote and reinforce positive behaviour through praise, rewards, and recognition.
– Collaborate with other staff members, including pastoral and support teams, to develop and implement strategies to address student behaviour issues.
– Provide guidance and support to students in resolving conflicts, managing emotions, and developing social and emotional skills.
– Conduct regular form time sessions to address relevant topics, facilitate discussions, and provide pastoral support.
– Monitor student attendance and punctuality, intervening and implementing appropriate measures for students with attendance issues.
– Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns or issues.
– Maintain accurate records of student behaviour incidents, interventions, and progress.
– Participate in relevant professional development activities to enhance behaviour management skills and stay updated with best practices.
– Support the overall ethos and values of the school and contribute to the wider school community.
– Familiarity with relevant educational technologies and software.
