Minimum Qualifications & Experience Required

All roles through Tick Education require:

A minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children.
A valid TRN (Teacher Reference Number).
The ability to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
A recognised teaching qualification.
Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff.
A passion for working with children and inspiring them through learning.
Availability for daily supply, short-term, or long-term teaching opportunities in Bedford.
Expert knowledge of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
ECT Teaching Roles in Bedford

Tick Education is looking for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in schools across Bedford. With many schools requesting daily supply teachers, ECT Teaching Roles in Bedford provide an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while exploring a variety of school settings.

We also work with schools that regularly offer longer-term placements to ECTs, with some schools supporting part or all of your induction period. This gives you the opportunity to develop your teaching practice while building confidence in the classroom.

As an ECT working on daily supply, you can gain experience across a range of schools without the additional responsibilities of planning, preparation, and marking. You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with schools and secure regular placements.
